black shoes

Look at this goddamn mess left behind by the ex-education minister (history: here)

Report: Schools told to find out how many students wear black, white shoes
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 15 — The Education Ministry has directed all schools nationwide to survey their students on the uptake of the policy allowing black shoes as part of student uniforms.

Local daily Sin Chew Daily referred to a January 14 letter by the Education Ministry that was spread on social media, which was addressed to the education directors of all state education departments asking them to notify schools of the survey.

In it, the Education Ministry said it has started gradually allowing black shoes and socks in schools from 2019 to 2021.

The Education Ministry said it saw a need to conduct a study based on the schools’ findings of the policy’s implementation, with a request for schools to complete the online survey form by January 22, 2020.

Sin Chew Daily said it had verified this with the principal of a primary school in Kuala Lumpur, and published a photograph of the survey form that included details such as the number of students enrolled in the school, and the number of students wearing black shoes and white shoes respectively.

When contacted by Malay Mail today, National Union of the Teaching Profession Malaysia (NUTP) president Aminuddin Awang confirmed that the Education Ministry has asked schools to conduct a survey on the implementation of the black shoes policy.

He also verified that the letter circulating on social media to be genuine.

The letter contains a link to the website for the online survey form, with a note from the Education Ministry that a majority of respondents in engagement efforts including parents agreed with school students wearing black school shoes as compared to the wearing of white school shoes.

The note also stated that the Education Ministry wished to obtain findings on the implementation of the black shoe policy at the school level, and that schools are required to fill up the survey before or by January 31, 2020.

I bet they’re finding out how deep the shit has rooted to the ground, and if it is too late to reel back the decision to move to black shoes. After all, our new government is the U-turn king. Like I have been saying, the Pakatan Harapan government has been a huge disappointment.

Company T management

Company T is a leading technological company that’s respected by many, but not many people know that its internal structures are plagued with mentally challenged individuals. Some of its policies are just plain nonsensical.

One of the oddest thing in Company T is the approval of leaves. That’s the leave of absence I’m talking about. In Company T, anyone can just take a day off without an approval from the manager, you know, like if you decided not to come to work, it is perfectly alright to do so. The boss has no say in that. You can just not show up, and update in the online tool that you didn’t come for the day and the annual vacation days will be deducted from the records.

Now, that’s not the fucked up thing about it (how can that be a fucked up thing?). The fucked up thing about it is – however, approval is required from the manager for SICK LEAVES! Like, your manager has to approve if you’re sick and unable to come to work! Apparently, somebody thought that the doctor’s certification is not good enough, and your manager has the final say if you’re sick enough to not come to work. If that isn’t fucked up, then you’re fucked up.

So now that Malaysia has failed its 2020 vision (to become a developed country), its government came up with another plan – SPV2030. Though I do not actually know what is it all about, the main selling point of the whole idea is to bridge the wealth distribution gap between the wealthy and the poor.

Sounds good ain’t it? Sadly, that’s all about it. Just another vision with very promising picture. Just exactly how are they going to goddamn do it, that’s what I want to know. This wealth disparity is a result of years of compounded mistakes of stupid policies and poor educational reforms in the country. Now they want to remedy this in 10 years? To make matter worse, there’s been a spate of in-fighting within the government. These people are too busy scheming the fall of one another to give any real fuck to the country in general. They could not even agree with each other, how are they going to fix anything at all?

I’d say, we should just forget about wanting to be a ‘developed nation’. Focus on fixing the glaring problems first – figure a way to stabilize the power and focus on getting the right people for the job. I’m talking about qualified ministers (this is where we lost). The gov needs to be low level formatted. Then, they need to fix problems like the water issues, the floods, the deteriorating educational standard, et al. With competent people in the job, we just might be able to turn around and think about joining the big boys in developed heaven…
