pedicure i can accept.. cos most guys have stinking feet!!!
skin care, ok lar.. still can accept… cos i would kiss a guy’s face with smooth skin rather than the one covered with pimples! YUCKS!

but cosmetic??? no no! it’s something guys bring out the cash for the girls not something guys spending for themselves :P

The shampoo and facial thing are acceptable, since hair is like skin and different people require products that suit them and make them look better. I think there is nothing wrong in making yourself look better by protecting your skin and making sure you have good hair. This is after all, the 21st century and appearance matters a whole lot when it comes to almost anything at all, be it presentations, dating, work etc.

Your appeareance just goes to show how well you take care of yourself, not letting yourself go or appearing like a slob. Using lip balm/gloss and some make-up is ok IMHO. How do you think male models/celebs look so good? They take good care of their skin, hair and the way they dress. I’m not saying that everyone should look like a star, but the point is do what you need to so that you look presentable or good in general. Taking care of your appearance will automatically make you feel better about yourself too.

Having said that, too much of a good thing can be bad and I have to admit, some people DO go a little too far. Powdering the face and the manicure is kinda pushing it =P

metrosexual men are taking gender-equality to a whole new level i guess. i used to have a metro wannabe housemate who commented on the way i iron my work pants. he said “the pants are crying because you’re ironing them the wrong way”…WTF just as long as my pants are not crumpled then i don’t fucking care how the pants are ironed.

Many of my male students carrying girly handbags and they trim their eye brows as well. I have a lot of guy friends who use lotions and spend like hours choosing clothes before going out with friends. I felt abit weird at first but after that just got used to it because toooo many of them are doing it right now.

I once accompanied a friend (a male of course!) to a saloon to get his hair trimmed. He was so particular with his hair that it took him 15 mins to explain to the hair stylist how he wanted it to be and he wants it EXACTLY the way he had described. And all along whilst his hair was being ‘styled’, he was holding this huge-ass mirror and trying in vain to make sure his hair is done the right way. Jeez…..it’s just a fucking hair! I wonder whether he has hia pube-hair trimmed like tat too! So, is that considered overly-metrosex?
