I never go to FP, they always hike up their prices and service sucks. Next time you want to buy optical stuff, go to Intan in BJC. Good customer service and fair prices. I have no shares with them...:P

Yeah, meyour & shaolin tiger are right. Patronize stand-alone outlets. You'll get way better service with good pricing. I was in the optical line for a while some years ago (as a rookie) & the boss was literally on my neck everyday making sure I was saying & doing the right things for the customers! Die-die must make customer happy so that they'll come back. And they did. Always.

I try to avoid chains for anything wherever possible because they just don't care.

Real shops with faces and names are always best, because the same staff will be there tomorrow and next week and it hits their pocket if you don't come back so they really care.

phangan - I'd say, what happened to the national education?

malcolm - you must be hell of an optimistic guy... they're everywhere dude.

sooi2 - I wasn't really boiling at that time, but was kinda perplexed - on how this guy managed to survive high school...

Zero - he deserves death...

anas - if you know who's Napoleon Dynamite, then you can imagine how Dead-fish was like...

arkane - frankly speaking, I never had any problems using vouchers before. This was my first bad experience...

meyour - Yeah, I think you have a point there. I'll make a note to Emily to refrain from patronizing these chain outlets in the future.

I was in optical industry for more than 7 years. Here is my advice, always avoid optical chain stores like focus point, and england optical. They were there for students, not for working adults like us.

Place like Ah Pek Optometrist, Ahmad Optical or Bunga Bunga Optik, offered excellence and personalised after sales services. They offers true high quality goods and profesional advices. Most of the time, owners run the shop, unlike focus and england, owners are somewhere in genting driving big benz,

Their shop may look like 50 years old shop, but these ah pek gave most precise presciption you'll ever get.

I hate it when vouchers come with fine prints. And most of the time the fine prints are phrased in such a way that makes it impossible for us to use them.
