I posted my view about Proton Savvy a while ago… and apparently, there were some hardcore Proton supporters getting flustered about my review and decided to uphold the justice by posting some nasty comments on my blog. Here are what they wrote (and my reply along with them…):

There you go. And there are a few gentlemen (one even claimed to be a Proton salesman !) that vented their disapproval about Proton Savvy … which I find to be quite interesting.

bob, I know proton’s improving itself. I know it’s making progress. I know it’s different from what it was 20 years ago.
You know what bob ? I don’t really care and it doesn’t matter.
That’s because experiences speak. I’ve had bad experiences, and I feel bad about this company. Their workers are delinquent, they’re not dedicated to even look into my problems…
It’s just as bad as that. That’s how I lost my faith and confidence.
I certainly do hope that they improve to fix all that. But that’s something for them to worry about, not for me. Cheers
Myvi & Savvy has their own concept of design. but for savvy, it is much born in malaysia, unlike myvi, redesign for malaysia. Perodua is taking easy step in just assembling the car beside building it from scratch.. Proton effort should be supported and if not, should be commented profesionally, not an emotional one, because they were buying other car beside proton. If you are not a proton fan, just don’t make a hasty comment, or just forget about it. when comenting about myvi. is has no use- since the car is not malaysian design, and it has no originality as savvy does.. This is all just a matter of individual taste. about pricing, myvi just seem to be in medium- high range car, price is quite right for the size , not the performance,. and these goes up side dowm for proton car. For savvy, the quality should be improved, even plastic in myvi interior is just equivalent. for proton, they should re- think about the price savvy & market target so that- savvy can go on sale- really well..

And why do I have to be a ‘Proton fan’ to make a ‘hasty comment’? What hasty comment? Again, back to your first quote – it’s all about INDIVIDUAL TASTE. I don’t see why it is so wrong for a person to reserve his own opinions about something in his own blog…
Here, I tell you people again – I still think Savvy sux. Big time. Doesn’t matter if it’s made in a pile of mud pit in Malaysia or a famed designer plant in Germany. It doesn’t cut my cake and that’s period.
